Demolition Work Begins for Several Abandoned Properties Around Trenton
The East Trenton Collaborative and East Trenton residents are very excited to see demolition work begin on several problem properties in the neighborhood. ETC staff and residents have been working diligently to identify abandoned properties in the neighborhood that have been posing serious health and safety risks to residents. For over a year, ETC staff have met regularly with the Department of Housing and Economic Development to discuss and advocate for the demolition of these properties and to help form plans to address other redevelopment concerns in the area.
Thanks to the dedication of all involved, these two dilapidated structures at 60 and 62 Tyrell will be coming down, along with 4 other abandoned East Trenton properties! Thank you to the residents of East Trenton, the City of Trenton NJ - City Hall, HED, and City Council for all your hard work and collaboration on making this happen! We hope to see continued progress towards taking down dangerous, abandoned properties in the city and will continue to work with residents and the city to make it happen!
