Programs Areas
Housing
Well-maintained housing that residents can afford is an essential component of a healthy community. The high cost of owning or renting a home in New Jersey often impacts low-income families and communities the most. This is why the East Trenton Collaborative operates two housing programs aimed at both improving residents’ current homes and helping rehab and reoccupy vacant properties for new residents in the East Trenton neighborhood. More information on these housing programs can be found below.
Programs
Economic Development
The East Trenton Collaborative aims to restore the neighborhood’s economic vitality through programs that support youth employment and small businesses. By uplifting and supporting these members of our community, we can empower them to help restore East Trenton’s economy. More information on these economic development programs can be found below.
Community Building
The East Trenton Collaborative is home to the East Trenton Center, located at 601 North Clinton Avenue. The East Trenton Center operates as a community center where people can gather and build a sense of community through attending various programs, activities, and civic engagement events.
The former East Trenton Library is a much-loved community facility that has been closed for more than ten years. ETC is working with residents to restore this historic structure as a viable community facility focused on education, jobs, and community services. More information on the East Trenton Center, civic engagement, and the library restoration project can be found below.
